People don’t always do the right thing, and sometimes we notice. As a Christian, we often feel a deep desire to tell that person how they are misguided in their thoughts and actions. We want to do something, but what do we do in response, and how can we expect others to react? Today’s proverb offers a piece of advice that may prove helpful.

Anyone who rebukes a mocker will get an insult in return.
    Anyone who corrects the wicked will get hurt.
So don’t bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you.
    But correct the wise, and they will love you.
